A brief outline of who you are and what we have provided you?

HSH Coldstores is a cold storage company based in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. We specialise in the storing of Frozen Food however we also can store chilled and ambient based products. We currently have 3 sites, two of these are in Grimsby whilst the other is located in Redditch, Worcestershire. Osborne Technologies has provided us with their EntrySign system for our visitor management. We installed EntrySign at our head office back in June to see how well the system would suit our needs. After a successful trial in our head office, we are pleased to say that we are expanding our EntrySign system into our other two sites in the new year.

How has EntrySign helped?

EntrySign has helped us dramatically in terms of saving time and money. Our staff no longer have to sign in at one place and then fill in a separate form as a fire register. Having to only tap their access card on one reader to sign in and be added to the fire register is really helpful for us as it saves us time and reduces the amount of paper that we have to store. Our accounts department are also using the EntrySign Back Office Suite to check what times staff are arriving and departing to ensure that they are paid correctly and to make sure that our staff are arriving on time. EntrySign has also helped us with our compliance with the GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018, as the personal details of our staff, visitors and contractors is now secure and only accessible to authorised staff.

What did you use before EntrySign to manage your visitors?

Before EntrySign, we used two Paxton readers (one for clocking in and another for clocking out) for the staff attendance. Staff also had to find and tick their name from a paper fire register. For our visitors and contractors, we had a visitor’s book in main reception that they used for signing in and out. Visitors were also issued with a lanyard which would often go missing as people forgot to return them upon leaving the site.

What made you choose EntrySign?

We chose EntrySign because after researching the product we found that EntrySign was the most suitable product that met our requirements. We also chose EntrySign as a member of our Senior management team had said that it was really easy to use after using it at someone else’s site that they was visiting. EntrySign also had support with Paxton access, who we are using for our access control system. This was good for us as we could use the same ID cards, which had been previously issued to our staff instead of having new cards made or having the staff carry multiple cards with them.

Which part of your experience did you like the most?

We have overall had a very positive experience from our installation and use of EntrySign. I do have to say that the customer service and support from Osborne Technologies has been outstanding. Everyone at the company we have had contact with has been really friendly and helpful to us. If we have had any requests, they have been completed for us really quickly. Everyone at HSH is happy with the system as they are impressed with how it has improved the management of staff and visitors for us. Our staff at our other two sites are also exited for EntrySign to arrive with them as they have heard the positive opinions about the system from staff at our head office.
